About Sri Debi Prasad Mishra
Sri Debi Prasad Mishra, is currently the Minister – Industry, School and Mass Education, Government of Odisha. Sri Mishra was born on 26th of January 1959 in Damkata village situated in Cuttack district. His father’s name is Shri Raghunath Mishra. Shri Mishra is a Graduate in Arts and made his mark in politics of Odisha from early age. He was the President All Orissa Yuba Janata Dal from 1996 to 1998 and General Secretary Biju Janata Dal subsequently. He held various positions as a Student Leader and actively participated in the students movement under the leadership of Jayaprakash Narayan during emergency. Later he was noticed by Sri Biju Patnaik and has worked under his inspiration ever since. Smt. Anusuya Mishra is his wife and always been his influence. He has two sons.
The Legendary Biju Patnaik
Bijayananda (Biju) Patnaik, a true statesman, freedom fighter and an illustrious son of India, is the architect of modern Odisha and the tallest leader of post-independence Odisha. Biju Patnaik, Biju Babu for millions of his admirers, both in his life-time and even after his death, enjoys an iconic status in Odisha and is widely admired across India for his courage, idealism, statesmanship and dedication to the cause of the common man. People of Odisha lovingly call him the Hero of Kalinga and the Kharavela of Kalinga. He was a man who created history, changed history and shaped history.
Early life
Biju Patnaik, was born in Cuttack, Odisha on March 5th, 1916 to Lakshminarayan and Ashalata Patnaik. He completed his early education at the Mission Primary School and Mission Christ Collegiate of Cuttack. In 1932, he got admitted into the intermediate science class of the famous Ravenshaw College, where he was a talented sportsman and headed the football, hockey, athletics and cricket team of the University. He was the sports champion for continuously three years. He studied Aeronautics at the Aeronautical Training Institute of India.
Shri Naveen Patnaik

A staunch crusader of socio-economic development, his pro-people and development-oriented policies have made Odisha the second fastest developing economy of the country.
His mild mannerism, stand against corruption and “pro-poor policies” have resulted in the development of a huge support base in Odisha, and has voted him to power in the last three consecutive terms. Naveen Patnaik is a gentleman, a thinking politician and more over a person with a genuine interest in solving the problems of the state. His is the only rule, which is not mired with any scandal, which had severely dogged the previous Congress regimes.
